Half the world’s population has fallen after the outbreak of the C-Virus. However, the Umbrella Corporation is officially held blameless and continues to operate. They create a new virus called the "S-Virus," which turns people into mindless soldiers. But the virus has an interesting side effect — if transmitted sexually, the virus will transform a woman into a hermaphrodite. Umbrella conducts their research on the S-Virus in a secret facility near the remains of Racoon City.
